Case Histories
The following are comments on work done for clients and the results obtained.
  Case History #1
Client: Shoemaker Financial - One of the largest financial advisory firms in the MidSouth

Assignment: Increase visibility and improve branding for firm; work with individual advisors to identify their target markets and devise plans for each of those markets.

Results:
  • Created a new logo and branding for the company.
  • Upgraded print material and created a glossy corporate image piece.
  • Blue Moon has worked with Shoemaker Financial to obtain stories in the local media and regional media.
  • Assisted various individual advisors in writing articles and getting published in the local business papers in Memphis, Nashville and Newburgh (IN).

Comments: Excellent results have led to Blue Moon being retained since 2004 with this firm.

  Case History #2
Client: Semmes-Murphey Clinic - one of the largest neurological clinics in the United States.

Assignment: Provide PR and marketing support for the clinic, create ads and collateral material as needed, clean up online listings and manage social media efforts.

Results:
Proactively generated feature stories on the clinic and its physicians in the press. Cleaned up the online listings for the various clinic locations. Developed ads and collateral material as needed. Created and manage the clinic's social media presence. Facilitate updates for the clinic's web site. Photograph physicians and staff as needed.

Comments: Have been retained with Semmes-Murphey since early 2010. John Lewis, CEO of Semmes-Murphey states "We are pleased with the work, responsiveness and ability to help us stay visible in the community."
  Case History #3
Client: Grinder-Haizlip Construction Company

Assignment: Increase visibility for the commercial & industrial general contractor, and improve firm's branding through print material, online presence and press coverage. 

Results: Blue Moon continues to be a proactive source of press coverage for Grinder-Haizlip. We photograph construction projects and create a pictorial project sheet for each; oversee web site updates; proactively generate feature stories on the firm and manage their social media presence.

Comments: The excellent performance has resulted in Blue Moon being on retainer with Grinder-Haizlip since early 2005. 
  Case History #4
Client: New Ballet Ensemble & School - A non-profit organization that brings together children from all backgrounds by providing a professional standard of training, regardless of the ability to pay.

Assignment: Create awareness in the population at large about the mission of New Ballet. Generate positive human interest stories about the children in the school and focus on community outreach performances. Upgrade print material to a consistent branding.

Results: According to Katie Smythe, founder of New Ballet, "I want you to know how much your work has helped New Ballet in branding our work and getting the message about the mission across to the city."

Comments: Blue Moon was able to place a great many major articles about New Ballet in the various local print media, as well as a respected national dance magazine. Through Bourassa's connections, a major financial contributor was added to New Ballet. A modernized newsletter was created and executed bi-monthly. Feature stories on students were placed in appropriate publications. A feature on one full-scholarship student directly resulted in her recently being awarded a prestigious dance scholarship to Central Pennsylvania Ballet School.

  Case History #5
Client: Germantown Plantation Senior Living 

Assignment: Increase visibility for both Germantown Plantation and sister facility in Olive Branch (Silvercreek Senior Living)

Results:​
Began an aggressive campaign generating stories in both business and consumer publications on both facilities. This included several full page stories in one publication and extensive human interest stories written and placed in consumer papers. Updated online listings with Google, Bing, Yahoo and various sites to correct errors in phone numbers and web address. Generated print ads as needed. In the first six months, client obtained media coverage equivalent to over $34,000 had it been 'paid advertising'.

Comments: Excellent results have led to Blue Moon being retained for ongoing services for this newer client.
